This show is... well, stupid but awesome. It is Jackass meets World's Most Dangerous Magic. You should watch it; review over. Find it online at www.discovery.com under the tab TV shows. Full episodes are even available to watch...

Oh, you want to know more? The show stars Jonathon Goodwin, who went for television production to full time escape artist to both, his buddy Mike Nelson, who tapes his insanity and adds his own touches (such as, when taping Jonathon with a scorpion in his mouth, saying "You know what would suck? If I slapped you in the face right now." and then doing it), and Terry Stroud, from Master Blasters, who builds the death machines required for the show. Each episode Jonathon focuses on something specific (escapes with minimal motion, escapes with ice water, etc...) and the insanity begins. If Jonathon and Mike were not so instantly likable the show would be unwatchable. Instead, you hope they will be at the next magic convention so you can have a beer with them. Check it out.

One Way Out is on Discovery Channel Monday nights. Along with House and Chuck, this show makes Monday the most awesome night of television.

I agree! Stupid in some ways, but also really educational, fun, and exciting in a lot of others. I really enjoyed it and want to see more. I've been a fan of Jonathon Goodwin for a while - he has consulted on some big name magic specials and stuff (don't remember who's exactly). His website is fun too - it has sketches of escapes he has thought about in his notebook. My favorite - Jonathon is in a bathtub filled with water, and restrained in a straightjacket. On the windowsill above him is a toaster that is both plugged in and activated. The toaster is connected to a string, which runs over the tub and onto the floor, where it is connected to a baby rattle. A baby is released into the bathroom. If the baby grabs its rattle, the toaster falls in and Goodwin dies. Can he escape before the baby crawls its way over?

One of my favorite parts of the first episode is when he wants to try escaping from zip ties (with a scorpion in his mouth) Jonathon just drills a couple holes in the kitchen table to pass the ties through... My wife just looked at me and said "We don't have a kitchen table and the dining room table is an antique your inherited from your grandmother."

Hahaha, I wish I could have been there to see your expression when you saw him boldly drill where no husband has drilled before.

...I swear that wasn't dirty.

I really loved the show,  and laughed really hard when the door slammed him in the head. It's a nice mix of escapology and comedy along with science. Defiantly a good watch.
