Analyzing 19th-century Cuban legal discourse, Professors Isabela Fraga (ɫƬ)andRicardo Pelegrin-Taboada (Western Oregon University) will tackle notions of community, freedom, and subjectivity through different methodological standpoints. Join us for a thrilling conversation about how race and gender affected the ways in which the people of Cuba saw themselves within or outside the legal frameworks.
